Wayne Kimmel

Wayne A. Kimmel, 78, of Vincennes, IN passed away May 25, 2024. He was born in Olney, IL on September 11, 1945, to the late Robert V. and Lois (Brewer) Kimmel. He attended Olney High School. Wayne worked for 35+ years as a contractor for Kimmel Construction. Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a Mason. He married Bridget Kimmel on July 28, 1992.

In his free time, Wayne enjoyed refinishing furniture, tending his bees, wood working, and tinkering. He was a jack of all trades and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He will be deeply missed.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sons Christopher and Gregory Kimmel; brother Melvin Kimmel.

He is survived by his wife Bridget Kimmel; daughter Dina (Mark) Madden; stepson David (Kristi) Case; grandsons Caleb and Colin Madden; and beloved dog Chloe.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Kimmel. Visitation will be held May 31, 2024, from 11 am to service time at 524 Broadway St. A funeral service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Havenhill Cemetery in Olney, IL immediately following.
