William A. "Tony" Johnson

William Anthony "Tony" Johnson, 70, of Vincennes, passed away at 8:45 pm Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born September 1, 1952, in Vincennes, Indiana to William and Ann (Wilson) Johnson. Tony retired after 35 years as maintenance director at Willow Manor and afterwards he worked at Vincennes University as an electrician retiring in 2022. Tony was always known to be full of humor and knew no stranger. His memberships included the Moose and the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club where he was past president. Surviving are his wife Rita (Kroeger) Johnson, whom he married on May 11, 1974; his grandchildren Reece and Layne Johnson; his brother in-law Bill and Jamie Kroeger of Vincennes; a sister in-law Ruth Kroeger of Vincennes; daughter in-law, Stacey Newman; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, a son Craig Johnson, and a brother in-law Dexter Kroeger. Visitation will be held Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 11, 2002, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
