William Alford

William J. Alford, 66 passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Lodge of the Wabash. Bill to his friends, he will always be Billy Joe to his family. Preceded in death by his father, William Alford and his mother, Greta Thacker. After serving in the U.S. Army, he was employed for thirty years by Good Samaritan Hospital. A kind, quiet, and hard-working man who spent many years caring for others, he will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by sister, Lynne Nathan and her husband, Jon, aunt, Carolyn Matteson, uncle, Wayne Thacker, dear friends, Anne Bowens, who made Bill feel a part of her family, Karen Sheppard, his special friend, Pat Crane, and many others. At his request no services are planned. His remains will be placed near his father in Fairview Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
