William Cooper

William "Bill" E. Cooper, 96, of Vincennes, IN, passed October 13, 2019, at the Lodge of the Wabash.Bill had been a pilot. He flew for Ozark Airlines, International Steel, and Bob Green. A veteran of the Army Air Corps, he had also been a flight instructor. Bill also drove trucks for Hamilton Glass, and for McCormick Sales. He enjoyed playing guitar, and played with several different local bands.Bill is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Cooper of Vincennes, IN, and his son, Tom Cooper of Vincennes, IN.Born February 2, 1923, in Monroe City, IN, he was the son of Edward and Hermoine (Morning) Cooper. His parents and his wife, Mary (Summerville) Cooper, preceded him.Friends may visit with Bill's family from 12:00 - 1:00 on Thursday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
