William Hedge

William Andrew "Andy" Hedge, 89, passed away at his residence on December 1, 2021. Andy was born on March 4, 1932 in Vincennes and he was the son of Lawrence and Lula Mae (Branch). He married Doris Groff and they have been married sixty-six years. Andy served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Fritchton Presbyterian Church, the American Legion and VFW. Andy also loved to fish, was an avid jigsaw puzzle worker and loved his family very much. Survivors include his wife, Doris Hedge; his children, Laura Perry and her husband Dale, Rose Kendall and her husband Fred, Anna Snider, Phillip Hedge; sister, Betty Peterson and her husband Verl; his grandchildren, Jeremy Conrad, Bryce Buchanan, Brock Buchanan, Gary Charest, Chris Smith, Katelyn Hedge, Maddie Hedge, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, son, John William Hedge, grandson, William Joe Conrad, brothers, Jim and Burl Hedge, and sisters, Elsie Sliger, and Elizabeth Spore. Friends may visit with Andy's family from 12-12:45 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow St., Vincennes, IN with Pastor Mike Flynn officiating.
