William Latshaw

Beloved father, (Bill) William E. Latshaw, 85 of 8 South 20th St., Vincennes, passed away at 1:58 am September 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital, with his son by his side. Bill was born March 10, 1932 in Fritchton, Indiana. The son of Grover C. and Della (Wilkes) Latshaw. He married Roberta (Elliott) on January 12, 1952. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Vincennes. Bill is survived by his son, Michael E. Latshaw of Vincennes. 2 nephews and 4 nieces.Preceding him in death was his beloved wife Roberta in 2016, his parents, 3 brothers, Wilkes, Earl, and Robert Latshaw, and a sister Hazel Patrick.Bill graduated from Fritchton High School in 1950. He served his country in the Army, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by Vincennes Home Improvement Co. (1954-1960's). then was in the carpet business in the late 1960's until retirement in 1994. He worked as manager of the Remnant Center and Carpet Wonderland in Vincennes. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in the yard, and admiring natures wildlife. A private graveside service was held at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Steven DeFields-Gambrel officiating.
