William Morris

William E. "Bill" Morris, 81, of Vincennes, IN passed away July 12, 2022. He was born in Vincennes, IN on March 19, 1941, to the late Henson G. and Nina (Bateman) Morris. Bill attended Lincoln High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was awarded the Soldier's Medal for risking his life to save two Korean men in a mine field that had been injured by an explosion. Bill worked for 40 years as a mechanic. He was a member of the Vincennes Sportsman Club. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, building trainsets, telling jokes, doing tricks, and solving crossword puzzles. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Katherine (Chuck) Moyes, Georgia (Stephen) Morris, Phillip (Sue) Morris and Robert (Faye) Morris. He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Kathy Morris; son William Ival (Jennifer Jo) Morris; grandchildren Danica Morris, Jace Morris, Aleaha Burton and Rowan Burton. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Morris. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on July 18, 2022 at 2pm with military rites.
