William O'Dell

William "Tim" O'Dell, 69, passed away at 10:43 am on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN. Tim was born on January 25, 1951 in Knox County the son of Ralph A. and Henrietta (Jording) O'Dell. He married Gail Brames on March 17, 1973.Tim retired from the U.S. Navy after serving his country for twenty years and he later worked for Gemtron. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus where he was involved with their community garden donating the produce from garden to area food banks. Tim also enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and most importantly spending time with his family.Survivors include his wife, Gail O'Dell of Vincennes; daughter, Karen Kristoff and her husband Jim of Valparaiso, IN; sons, Brendan O'Dell and his wife Ashley of Vincennes, Devin O'Dell and his wife Ashlee of Vincennes; sister, Ann Kissling and her husband Bill of Greenwood; brother, Irvin O'Dell and his wife Gena of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas, Cohen, Marlee, Haven, and Bodhi O'Dell. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Melissa O'Dell and two brothers, Armand and David O'Dell.Friends may visit with Tim's family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. John Catholic Church, 803 Main St., Vincennes, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11:00 am at the conclusion of visitation with Rev. Tony Ernst celebrating. Tim will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The O'Dell family has requested memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 100 S. 3rd Street, Vincennes, IN 47591.
