William Ralston

William D. Ralston, 76, passed away at 8:14 am on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at BidgePointe Health Campus. William was born on April 18, 1938 in Bedford, Ky the son of Howard W. and Thelma Mae (Bush) Ralston. He married Susan Drescher on October 31, 1958 and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2013.Bill owned and operated Johnson Bootery for several years. Prior to moving to Vincennes he worked as manager for Hertz Shoe Store in Madison. He loved to camp and golf and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. He also loved his dogs.Survivors include his sons, Bryan Ralston and his wife Colleen of Greenwood, Troy Ralston and his wife Debbie of Vincennes; sister, Rita Craigmyle of Vevay; grandchildren, Heather Burton, Heather Harle, Shane Buchanan, Katie Ralston, Kristi Ralston, Kenna Ralston and four great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Susan Ralston, brother, Bobby W. Ralston and grandson, Logan Patrick Ralston.At Bills request he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, KY at a later date.
