William E. Ridge, 82, of Vincennes, IN, passed away January 30, 2021, at the Golden Living Center, in Petersburg, IN. William graduated from Central Catholic High School in Vincennes, IN, in 1956. He then attended Indiana University, and following his time there, returned home and founded Ridgeview Homes, along with his father and brother. He worked there from 1960 to 2001, and after retiring worked part time at Burkhart Insurance for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his two dogs, Minnie and Pasha. In his younger years, Bill jogged, played basketball, and umpired girl's softball. Surviving is his daughter, Deborah Ralston and her husband, Troy, of Vincennes, IN; his sons, Mark Ridge of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin Ridge of Vincennes, IN; his grandchildren, Katie Hunter and her husband, Curt, of Avon, IN, Kristi Ralston and her fiance' Eric DeRolf of Lowell, IN, and Kenna Ralston of Vincennes, IN; and his great-granddaughter, Hanna Hunter of Avon, IN. Born January 19, 1939, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Loren Wayne And Virginia (Hewitt) Ridge. His parents, Virgina who passed away in 1964, and his father, Wayne, who passed away in 1975; his loving wife, Patty J. (Hess) Ridge, whom he married August 29, 1959 at St. John Catholic Church, and who passed away February 15, 2003; and his brother, Roland Wayne Ridge, who passed away in September 2018, preceded him. A private family service was held at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. He was laid to rest beside his loving wife, at Fairview Cemetery.
