William Risley

William J. Risley, 84, of 405 S 3rd street, St. Francisville, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Lawrence County Community Health Center in Bridgeport.He was born September 5, 1929 in Oaktown, Indiana to Raymond F. & Josephine (Greenwell) Risley.William served in the Army during WWII and retired from U.S. Borax as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of the St. Francisville Christian Church and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.Surviving is his wife, Esther "Rose" Risley, his children; Philip (Patricia) Risley of Seymour, Cathy (fianc John)Risley-Prather of Lancaster, CA, Matthew (fiance' Linda) Risley of Jefferson City, MO, Mark (fiance' Tracy) Risley of Silver Lakes, CA, Timothy Risley of Susanville, CA, and David (Deanna) Risley of Vincennes; his brother, Jerry (Sharon) Risley of Vincennes, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Jack, and Robert Risley; three sisters, Doris Slack, Mary Myers, and Ruth Rourke, and a granddaughter, Amanda Risley.Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. EDT at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Butler officiating.
