William Schatz

William Fred Schatz, 61, passed away at 12:30 am on February 28, 2023, at his residence. Fred was born on March 13, 1961, in Washington, IN and he is the son of Ernest and Mary (Blaize) Schatz. Fred was a mechanic for several years and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved watching western shows, riding horses, and taking long drives. His favorite sweet was chocolate covered cherries. Survivors include his mother, Mary Schatz of Bicknell; son, Chris Schatz and his wife Ambrea of Princeton; daughter, Hayley Schatz of Vincennes; stepson, Ryan Cahoy and his wife Amy of Vincennes; sister, Joann White of Bicknell; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Phoenix, Alexandrea, Adreal, Avalyn Schatz, Alexander Bottoms, Loudon Breeden, Bristol Porter, and Seth and Aiden Cahoy. Fred is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Schatz, sisters, Betty Schatz, Sandy Smith, and Georgia Wesley, and his brother, Leroy Schatz. Fred's wishes are to be cremated and his family will hold a celebration of life service at a date, place and time to be determined.
