William Sheffer

William "Bill" Harlan Sheffer, age 64 of Vincennes, Indiana passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at home. He was born July 4, 1958 to Robert and Helena Sheffer in Morganfield, Kentucky. He graduated from Union County High School in Morganfield Kentucky in 1976. Bill was a coal miner at many mine for over 40 years before retiring and pursued a safety job at Halter's Tree Service. He came to enjoy spending time with family, especially grandkids, camping and University of Georgia Football. Bill is proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Rita Sheffer and Marie Roberts, brother Alan Sheffer and son Clay Sheffer. Survivors include: Wife of 43 years, Karol Sheffer of Vincennes, Indiana Daughter, Jill (Bart) Kiefer of Vincennes, Indiana Daughter -in-law, Bethany Sheffer of West Union, IL Grandchildren include Toby Sheffer, Shelby Tyhurst, Kinsley Kiefer, Briley Kiefer and Kailey Kiefer Brothers, Ed Sheffer, Tom Sheffer and John (Laura) Sheffer Sister, Kathy (Bob) Greenwell. Funeral visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, March 18th at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St in Vincennes, Indiana.
