William E. "Bill" Vieke, 72, of 2936 S. 6th St. Rd., Vincennes, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 11, 1938, the son of Ernest and Helen (Casper) Vieke.Bill was a farmer and worked part-time at A & P Grocery Store when he was younger. He was a member of Old Cathedral Catholic Church. He was also a member of the 40 et 8, Eagles Lodge, and Moose Lodge. He was a bee keeper and enjoyed brewing his own beer.Survivors include daughter, Tracy Bouvy and her husband, John, of Vincennes; son, Chris Vieke and his wife, Kim, of Vincennes; brothers, Don Vieke and his wife, Dorothy, of Vincennes, Ron Vieke and his wife, Judy, of Vincennes, his twin brother, Bob Vieke and his wife, Margaret, of Vincennes, sister, Janet Yarber and her husband Larry, of Vincennes, brother, John Vieke and his wife, Cherie, of Vincennes, sisters, Helen Stiles and her husband, Steve, of Vincennes, Sharon Carie and her husband, Dave, of Washington and Patricia Ragsdale and her husband, Bill, of Elnora; grandchildren, Brittney Bouvy, Will Vieke and Ryan Vieke.Preceding Bill in death were his parents and his wife, Camille Vieke whom he married July 18, 1959 and she passed away June 11, 2000.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Old Cathedral Catholic Church, 205 Church St., with Deacon Earl Ruppel celebrating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. The family requests that you wear casual clothing to the visitation and funeral mass.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes Pet Port.Online condolences may be sent through www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
