Wilma Studley

Wilma L. Studley (Abell), 98, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away at BridgePointe Health Campus on November 6, 2021. Wilma was born on March 22, 1923, to Ernest Abell and Iva Irene Griesemer in St. Francisville, Illinois. Wilma was a high school graduate of St. Francisville High School. After high school, she married the love of her life Ralph Benjamin Studley. Together they had four children, Julia Ann, Mary, Steve, and Susan. Wilma was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vincennes. She enjoyed baking, doing ceramics, and she especially loved to shop for herself, her family, and for her friends. Her favorite Holiday was Christmas, and she enjoyed all the festivities involved with it. Most importantly, she loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving Wilma are her children, Steve Studley (Penny) of Bloomington, Indiana, Susan Caldwell (Brian) of Kokomo, IN, Mary Studley of Vincennes, IN; grandchildren Stacey Studley of Bloomington, IN, Andy Studley (Florence) of Phoenix, AZ, Lauren Britt (Connor) of Noblesville, IN, Bradley Caldwell of Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren Tyler Moore of Bloomington, IN, Jacob Moore of Bloomington, IN; and great-great grandson Alec Moore of Michigan. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Benjamin Studley, and her stepdaughter Julia Ann Denney. Visitation for Wilma will be held Friday November 12, 2021, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home - Gardner Chapel 505 Main St. Vincennes, IN 47591 from 11:00 - 1:00pm. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00pm with Pastor Matt Swisher officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in St. Francisville, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made out to the First United Methodist Church 411 N 4th St. Vincennes, IN 47591.
