Frances Raney, 83, of 1804 N SR 67, Vincennes, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at her daughter's residence.She was born October 29, 1930 in Knox County to Heber and Mabel (Hardacre) Wilson.Frances retired from Vincennes University in the cafeteria department. A Wheatland High School graduate, she enjoyed feeding her birds and squirrels, gardening, and also enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Surviving is a daughter, Nwyla (Moe) Ellermann of Vincennes; a son, Garry (Sandy) Raney of Vincennes; a son in law, David Ellerman of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Cindy Ray, Jason Ellermann, Ryan Ellerman, Andy Ellermann, and Amber Ellermann; and her great grandchildren, Teia Ray, Chip Ray, Chuck Ray, and Grant Ellermann.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husand, Edwin Raney, who preceded her on November 10, 1995; and twin daughter, Twyla Ellerman.Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Schierbaum officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
