Zelma Morris

Zelma Katherine Morris, 96, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Nov. 12, 2013, at the Emerald House Assisted Living Facility in Washington, IN. She was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Bridgeport, IL, to James and Bertha (Grounds) Barthelemy. On April 19, 1947, she married Ben Morris. He passed away on March 17, 1992. Her parents and one brother, Webster Barthelemy, also preceded her. Zelma attended Indiana Business College. She was a bookkeeper, and worked at TA Brouilette and Son, and in the business office at Bryant Chevrolet. Later, she and her husband owned and operated a farm supply store. Her memberships included the First United Methodist Church. Surviving is her step-son, Claude "Sonny" Morris, of Vincennes, and a caregiver, Lynn May of Washington, IN. A graveside service will be held on Friday, at 1:30 EDT, at the St. Francisville Cemetery in St. Francisville, IL. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
